Festival Wedding in Compton Village – Juliet & Tom
We absolutely loved this Festival Wedding in Compton Village of West Sussex, it had everything you’d expect to see from a colourful marquee to festoon lighting around the bar!
Juliet and Tom tied the knot when the British summer weather was just getting fired up in a country field of West Sussex, Compton. They had their ceremony at St. Mary’s Church, which was just a short walk away from the field. It was the most amazing wedding with cocktails on arrival and bands setting the festival atmosphere throughout the night.
Both the bride and groom got ready in their family cottages in the village which were side by side on a little country lane. Juliet greeted us with the biggest hug and introduced us to her lovely bridal party. The entire morning was super chilled with champagne and orange juice oh and a quick dip in the pool by the groom and his men! Juliet wore a stunning floral sequin dress with her hair styled up in loose waves and her bridesmaids in gorgeous pink lace dresses. The groom Tom, and his men dressed in a grey suits with floral ties and all had a little fishing tackle accessory.
The wedding took place in their village church, St. Mary’s with all their family and friends. It was a really beautiful and personal service where their best friend sang while guests arrived. After the ceremony their guests showered them in confetti and the best man whisked them off to the reception in a pimped-out lawn mower! Complete transport goals and so much fun!
Festival Wedding Reception…
Their wedding reception was on a field in their village, a short walk for their guests from the church. The marquee was decorated with colourful pom-poms while all the flowers were arranged by the bride; including Juliet Roses! We loved how the structure of the marquee was left open so the festoon lights trailed up the construction right to the top; complete Festival Wedding vibes.
Their bar was epic! Made by their local pub owners at Victoria Inn, it featured hanging industrial festoon lighting from the curved wooden arch over the bar; totally unique and completely awesome!
Their speeches had every guest roaring with laughter as a few very private stories were shared to all!! It even had us in stitches!
Tom and Juliet are just one of those couples who are so friendly and easy going you feel as though you’ve known them for years; their entire day was focused around them having fun and being together. After their meal we took them off into the barley fields for a little couple portrait time which are some of our favourite images from their day.
We just loved working together to capture this wedding and were so pleased when Juliet and Tom booked our full day package with two photographers! It meant every inch of their day was covered in our discrete documentary style.
Check out their images for a little Festival Wedding inspiration! And if you’d like to see more of our work check out our portfolio.
